## SikSog Black Smart Recessed Lighting Review

Good lighting can change a room’s whole mood—and the SikSog Black Smart Recessed Lighting makes that idea wonderfully easy to play with. Its sleek black finish gives ceilings a modern touch, while the smart lighting lets you shift from calm, cozy evenings to colorful movie-night ambiance without turning the room into a complicated tech project.

Control the lights with your voice or through the app, adjusting the color and brightness to suit the moment. Choose a soft everyday glow, add a splash of color for a gathering, or create a more theatrical backdrop for movies, music, and game nights. You can also save favorite looks, making it simple to bring the same atmosphere back whenever you want it.

A particularly appealing perk is that app control doesn’t require signing up for an account or relying on an internet connection. That keeps setup refreshingly simpler, and group controls make it simple to coordinate the lights throughout a space. The result is flexible lighting that feels more like a thoughtful part of your home than another gadget demanding your attention.

The SikSog smart recessed lights are designed for a range of settings, from living rooms and bedrooms to cafés and entertainment spaces. At $80.82, this black smart lighting set offers a stylish way to bring adjustable everyday illumination and playful color options under one roof.

Pros

  • A 12-light pack makes it easier to create consistent accent or ambient lighting across a room, with each 12W downlight producing 1,000 lumens.
  • RGB+CCT color options bring flexibility to everyday use: choose warm or cool white for routine lighting, then switch to colorful effects for gatherings or gaming spaces.
  • The BRmesh app works over Bluetooth without requiring an internet connection, account registration, hub, or gateway for app control.
  • Music synchronization and coordinated color changes help multiple SikSog recessed lights create a more unified room effect.
  • With dimming from 1% to 100% and 23 dynamic modes, the lights can be tuned for different moods and activities.

Cons

  • There is no remote control, so adjusting the lights depends on the app or Alexa voice control.
  • The black plastic shell may feel less substantial than a metal fixture and may not suit every ceiling or décor style.
  • Before buying, check the ceiling opening and available space carefully: the specified cutout range is broad, and installation requires at least 1.57 inches of depth.
  • The many color and effect choices may take some setup to dial in, especially when coordinating a full 12-light installation.
